HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT

It is MCPHAR's objective to:

  • Maintain high standards for health, safety and the protection of the environment at its offices and other premises, and at field locations from which it operates.
  • Ensure that these standards are incorporated into the design and planning of all aspects of its operations.
  • Communicate these standards to all employees and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all MCPHAR personnel are given the necessary information, instruction and training to enable them to work in a safe manner.

It is incumbent upon management to strive for the safe operations of its survey platforms and facilities and to promote an effective and proper understanding with all employees and subcontractors on matters which relate to health, safety and the environment. All MCPHAR personnel are required to cooperate with management on all matters relating to health, safety and the environment and to take reasonable care while at work to ensure the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.

Safety is a very important aspect of any of MCPHAR's operations, and nothing will be done to compromise safe operations. MCPHAR is an active and current member of the International Airborne Geophysics Safety Association (IAGSA), www.iagsa.ca

Statement of Policy

The safety of our employees, the public and our operations is of primary importance. We actively support the efforts of all personnel to strive for the goal of a safe and healthful work environment.

To achieve this goal, we have outlined specific procedures which will be implemented at all of our current and future locations. Our office and crew managers at all locations will be responsible for administering the program and will be held accountable for its success. Our employees will also be held accountable for following the rules and procedures set forth by MCPHAR and for contributing to our overall achievement.

The elimination of accidents and losses due to accidents is an important responsibility for all of us. This responsibility must be accepted and implemented with the same commitment to excellence as are our other business objectives relating to customer satisfaction, sales and operating costs.

Implementation of the Policy

Each of us must do our part. MCPHAR will make every effort to provide a safe and healthy working environment. All employees must use forethought and care to prevent accidents. Everyone must make use of safety equipment, observe all safety rules and procedures, and report unsafe conditions. By working together we will realize the success this program is designed to achieve.
